Collective Haul!

Tis the season to be spending~
Since there were quite a number of deals the past couple of months, I've been stopping by Rexall to pick up a few items, and doing just a bit of online shopping. ;)

I picked up a new foundation, Marcelle Matte finish in the colour Almond. Rexall was having a 50% off all face cosmetics sale, and I was rather eager to try a new foundation out.
I haven't tried it yet, but I have to say not fond of the packaging. I totally thought there was going to be a pump, but alas as soon as I opened it was I disappointed. Guess I'll have to wait to see how the formula is!

Parfum1 had a 20% off code, so I used that to pick up my favourite perfume

Came with a sample~

Once again Rexall had a buy one get one free on the Revlon lip butters! I originally bought the colour "Pink Truffle" at work, and this time I wanted Berry Smoothie and Creme Brulee or Peach Parfait. Sadly both colours were out of stock, so I ended up with Berry Smoothie and Raspberry Pie. Reviews to come soon!
Also the Christmas cards (SUPER CUTE NO?), hair mousse and spin pins I picked up at London drugs. The mousse was 1.99 each, so I snatched up the remaining 6, the spin pins were 25% off and came to around $5 (originally 7ish!).

My yesasia.com haul! I waited FOREVER for this! I originally ordered a Rilakkuma cosmetic bag that wasn't in stock, I waited a couple of weeks while they searched through warehouses until I got a email saying it was out of stock. I cancelled the item and wanted the rest shipped out asap!
The cat is pencil case, and it's actually a Christmas present for my friend! She loves cats so when I saw this I immediately put it in my cart! It's super adorable and kinda makes me want one too...
I got a iphone/ipod/ipad home button sticker, and a headphone cover thing (that's also a strap holder), and Tablo's album - Fever's End.
I LOVE Tablo's album, I was most excited for this to reach me more than anything! After listening to "Bad", "Home" and "No tomorrow" I knew I HAD to order it.

Inside it came with a YG family card, I'm not too sure how to register it but god knows I will figure that out! I've been a fan of Tablo and Epik High for so long, ever since I heard "Anyband", I fell in love with Tablo, which then led to Epik High.
I'm so happy that he finally released an amazing album, after all the hard times he's been through, I'm so proud and happy for him!!

Left: Commander in Chic, Right: Barracuda
Lastly Sally Hansen polishes!
Nail products are buy one get one 50% till Dec 24 at Rexall, and the last time I was there picking up the lip butters I saw Barracuda! Ever since seeing it in missglamorazzi's youtube videos back in the summer, I've been on the hunt! It's been sold out everywhere (I've found it at one SDM but it was all crusty as someone had used it in the store), and when I saw i knew I had to have it!
I've been lemming Commander in Chic for SO long! It reminds me a lot of Rimmel's Steel Grey, but I couldn't compare the two colours at the store so I bought it anyway! I hope it's a bit different, because I loveee Steel Grey, and don't want something extremely similar. :\

On another note! Revlon lip butter review, picture, swatches (of some) to come soon!
I've been on a blog block because I've been working everyday, and coming home for a couple of hours just to go out and catch up with some old friends!

Happy holidays and Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everything is going well for everyone!! :)

Miss Erica Online's giveaway!

kk it's been a while since I've done these!

Miss Erica is back, and I'm super excited to see that she is!
I've been a quiet lurker for a while, so when I saw her blog post I immediately went: HELL YEAH!
Actually because of her money sense series, I started keeping track of the money I spent! I kept it up pretty well on an excel spreadsheet for a good 4 months till life took over and I didn't remember what I had spent during the day.
But I changed phones, downloaded an app and I am back on track! I just need to input my data back into excel (which will take a while).

BUT onto the main point!
Check out her giveaway here: Miss Erica Online!
It's going to be a assortment of goodies (so excited! haha).
Good luck to everyone! :)

Perfume Hunting: L'air by Nina Ricci

My first series on this blog: Perfume Hunting
Because of the perfume sampler I bought at shoppers, I finally decided to try the first sampler and decided on L'air by Nina Ricci.

Bottle
What drew me to try this first was one, the bottle. Look how gorgeous that is! The other item that drew me in was the campaign pictures.
At first glance, I thought it was Emma Watson, but the model is Noreen Carmondy, and she is stunning! I was in love with the pictures, commercial and how beautiful she was!
The whole concept of the perfume seemed to be exactly what I wanted, to look for a mature, feminine scent.

STYLE: L'air, is inspired by the iconic fragrance L'air du Temps, it's a fragrance for the new generation. L'air reveals a new absolute and modern femininity with a new twist, more luxurious and modern. L'air offers liberty and rebelliousness, the breath of love, the miracle of peace, and a song of freedom.
Doesn't that sound amazing?! I was extremely curious after reading the description.

TONES: It combines an airy and crystalline top note of honeysuckle and freesia with a radiant and feminine middle note accentuating magnolia, rose absolute, and jasmine sambac all held together by a sensual and woody base note of palisander wood and patchouli.

THOUGHTS: Truthfully the first time I tried it, I HATED it. The smell was not sweet (compared to say, DKNY green apple), it had this weird lychee woody smell, and when I put it on I thought it smelled so... bad on me. Almost borderline BO with my body chemistry.
I wore this for around a week in a row, no other perfumes. The perfume lingers around, it's not extreme that if someone was to stand right beside me, they wouldn't be able to smell it. If I got really close to someone though they would be able to tell. It also doesn't last long on me, around 4 hours max, which isn't bad, but I would definitely love to see a longer lasting power.
After day 3, I really began to like this. It definitely grew on my senses, the more I smelled it the more I fell in love. Even now a part of me wishes I hadn't run out to keep wearing it, it's a unique fragrance, and mature, just as I wanted when I bought this sampler.

FINAL DECISION: I might buy a sample, or small bottle. I don't know about a full bottle just because who knows how long a bottle might last me, and I'm sure that wearing this more than a couple of weeks in a row might begin to annoy me. It's a unique smell, but I know I'll get annoyed of it quickly. I also don't like how long the lasting power is, even at the 3 hour mark it's very faint on me, by 4 hours it's pretty much gone.
For those interested, definitely ask for a sample beforehand. Unless you know you love fragrances like this, then go ahead and get it! However I know that if I smelled this in a store, I would've never thought of asking for a sample, or even buying it. The thought of this scent on my body absolutely disgusted me when I first smelled it. But I've definitely grown to like it, and heck I'm still sniffing at the tiny leftovers in the sampler right now!! I really did grow to enjoy this scent!

Next sample to try: Lady Million by Pacco Rabanne
I'm excited for all the fragrances though! Gosh I'm so glad to have bought this sampler! :D

Ridiculous - I hate group projects

Long story short, one of my classes has a group project, we were doing fairly well up until we got together to do group interviews (this is a human resources class, our project is to make a position, and interview other classmates), there was a clash of personal opinions between two of our members (a girl and a guy), which led to an argument, and we ended it because we had other things to do.

Two weeks ago in a small group meeting, a (different) girl in our group passively brought up that topic - thinking that we were all adults and had gotten over the fact - which led to another huge fight.
Honestly this fight was the crashing point for our group. When you put two head strong people together, fighting over the difference of opinions, add in the fact that they are both unwilling to budge unless the other person does, it turns ugly, FAST. It didn't help that it was only us three Asians - who are quiet and really had no opinion on the matter - sitting there watching this unfold.
It got to a point where things became on a personal level, name calling happened and just all hell broke loose. We have two weeks left of school, and NOW is when our group "falls apart"?!

Today we had a group meeting to finish up the final report, we were told in advance that the girl wasn't going to come, fine, whatever, she was going to edit the whole thing. Works for us. What we didn't know was that the guy wasn't showing up. Clock turns 12:40PM and we decide, fuck it, we're not waiting for him. All of us were extremely disappointed in the fact that he didn't even make the effort to contact any of us, but we moved on. A couple of hours later the girl gets a text from the guy saying he was sick, and if he could send all his information to her to read.
... But WE were working on the final report, it'd make more sense to send it to us. He didn't even bother to look up our numbers to find out and contact any of us! What the hell.
Regardless she sent us a text telling us what he said, and we were like oh what the hell, he didn't even tell us.
THEN she called us and asked if we should essentially kick him out of the group. He was extremely irresponsible, worked on barely anything, didn't bother to contact us and just showed up when it was an important date. So in a way there was a bit of truth in what she was saying, but at the same time, this project is worth 21%, to kick him out of the group now when there's two weeks left in school is quite harsh, he could honestly fail this course because of us. I don't know about you guys, but that felt like a burden to me, I don't think I could live with the guilt of possibly failing someone...

Anyway the main point of this rant was to say that I text him saying to send us his stuff because we needed some ideas, and the stuff he wrote pissed me off.
He said that writing the job description and analysis was "tedious, dull, and repetitive". UHH, from what I remember, HE never helped out at all. The first time we got together as a group he wasn't present. When we decided to type up the final copy he "went to his car" and disappeared making us type up all of the information. He also said that because of some heated debates, it left members angry and upset.
Truthfully if either of them dropped the topic, this whole problem never would've happened.

The fact that neither of them got that point is annoying, and it really put the rest of us in a difficult position because we're trying to appeal to both sides, but it's hard because of the tension.

Rant over, it's late and I really should get my 5/6 hours of sleep before cramming in more.... school.

Posts of a haul coming in probably about 2 weeks.

Perfume sampling

All about perfumes!
Truthfully, a couple of weeks ago a guy friend of mine inadvertently told me I stink, I was so self conscious after that moment that as soon as I looked at the shoppers drug mart flyer and saw this perfume sampler, I figured why not!! I have yet to find a 'signature scent', so I was hoping to find one!

I'm sure that Sephora has a box similar like this, but I have never really seen them in Canada (nor do I go to Sephora as often as Shoppers). I just checked the Sephora US website and they do have them for cheaper! Same sample size but cheaper price it comes as a set of 12! Aish, maybe I should've waited for Sephora's :(
The same price set they offer at Sephora comes with mini bottles of each set! But then again I have to factor in the fact that everything in the US is cheaper, so I'm sure that set of 12 will be the same as this set, $75. But oh well.
Included in box was: Dolce&Gabbana - Light Blue
Calvin Klein - CK One shock for her
Vera Wang - Lovestruck
Calvin Klein - Euphoria
Nina Ricci - L'Air
Marc Jacobs - Oh, Lola!
Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy
Givenchy - Very irresistible Givenchy L'intense
Paco Rabanne - Lady Million
DKNY - PureDKNY A drop of verbena
The price was $75, and when I bought it there was a spend $75 receive 20x the points. I picked this up, along with the Revlon matte lipstick in Nude Attitude (shown in the last post).

It includes a gift certificate that you can use to redeem a full size bottle of one of the scents that were in here, along with a fragrance guide. That'll be super helpful, because I can't describe scents for the life of me!

HOWEVER once I opened it I was a little disappointed. $75 for tiny sample scents that I probably could've gotten for free if I had gone to any Bay, Sephora, or Shoppers and asked.

Speaking of Sephora, I compared the size of the one I paid for compared to the one I got for free. They're pretty much about the same, I haven't tried the one I bought, but the Sephora spray is a little tricky at times, and I always spray out too much.
With the purchase of the samples, I also got these three samples for free!
My cashier was super nice, and I actually tried on some Chanel perfume on me in the store and she said I smelled amazing (now I want samples of the Chanel perfume), so she included the Chanel No5, which I'm super excited about!
At the same time, I felt paying $75 wasn't exactly justifiable for my 10 samples, since I got these 3 for free...
I compared it to the one I got for free and I MUST SAY, I am even MORE disappointed!
The bottle I bought was half full, whereas the one I got for free (the one on the left) was filled around 3/4 of the way. What the hell! I was disappointed again, but compared it to some of the other bottles in the box and it was the same amount. I guess that's the way it goes, either way I was disappointed.

Final thoughts: The certificates maximum value is $93, so essentially I'm paying $75 for a $93 value perfume. A savings of a whopping $18! So I am paying a bit for the samples in a way, which still kind of disappoints me. Also while I'm excited to try different perfumes, the price for these samples did kind of hold me back. This is a mini gift for myself, I actually have a favourite "sweet" scent that I love, and want to find one that's more "professional" and "mature" smelling.
I am trying Nina Ricci's perfume in L'Air, I have mixed feelings about it.
I'll definitely do a more in-depth perfume post about all these perfumes in the future!

Lips collection

Hello hello!

Here is a couple of pictures of my lipstick/lipgloss - otherwise known as lips - makeup collection!

One of them is a freebie I got from a friend, I did a previous post on it before, the rest I bought with my own money, and coincidentally it's all from Revlon!
The lipglosses, however, are either from Revlon, or small clinique samples I have received.

From top to bottom: Revlon colourburst in peach, Estee Lauder in 161 Pink Parfait, Revlon Pink in the Afternoon, Revlon Temptress, and Revlon matte Nude Attitude

This picture makes it a little more true to colour, but the top photo shows the sheen a bit better

Lipsticks with the gloss put on top

Over "Pink in the Afternoon" and the Estee Lauder lipsticks, I usually use the Revlon super lustrous lipgloss in "Pink Whisper" or the Clinique full potential lips plump and shine in "Play-full plump".
Over Revlon's "Temptress", I use Clinique's full potential lips plump and shine in "Mimosa Blossom".
Over Revlon's "Nude Attitude", I use Clinique's long last glosswear in "Air Kiss". "Air kiss" is what is swatched right beside "Pink in the Afternoon" (4th from the top). Currently this is my favourite lip combo because it's a light pink nude colour, and I love it!

I like all the lipsticks I have, with the exception of the Estee Lauder one. The smell of it is rather... off putting, and almost nauseating. Which is why I'll rarely ever use it because it smells so fragrance-y.
The glosses, I love! With the exception of Clinique's long last glosswear, none of them are extremely sticky. I hate the feeling of my lips being stuck to each other, it just doesn't feel good at all.
However I do still like the long last glosswear, even after eating/drinking something light (such as when I'm snacking or drinking a cup of coffee/tea), it still manages to stay on! So being super sticky is fine with me!

As I have slightly mentioned before, I'm not a huge fan of lip products. I use lipbalm/vaseline 24/7. I usually reapply every couple of hours. I can not live a day without using a chapstick of some sort! I end up licking my lips dry!
That being said, I usually never bother touching up my lips unless it's for a special occasion that I'm going to. Other than that, I don't even bother. Personally I don't really like the super glossy lip look, so I usually avoid that as much as possible. I also drink a lot of liquids throughout the day, it's a hassle to keep reapplying after every time! I also don't like it when I'm drinking coffee and my lips just come off on the lip of the coffee cup. It's kinda disgusting in my opinion, I just hate that!!

Overall I'm happy with my lip collection! I'm not ready to venture into the red lip looks or super bright colours, but I think I might invest in a nice deep purple lipstick for the time when I want to give myself a more sophisticated look.

Collective Haul!

First off, apologies for disappearing!
As much as I like looking at blogs, I can't say blogging is a priority for me at the moment.

With that said, a small collective haul of what I picked up in the past few months!
First off, some mascaras!
Around September or so, rexall had their 50% of all mascaras! I was hoping for this because last year when it happened, I stocked up like no other.
Although I have rather straight Asian lashes, they are rather long and I find mascara one of my favourite makeup products. Therefore I really love trying new and different mascara!
With the exception of the loreal voluminous, the rest I have never tried before and I am excited! Reviews to come! :)

Also decided to pick up a lip gloss in "pink pout", I've seen and heard reviews that I wanted to try it out! I have the rest of the other colours that were from this collection ~
Also picked up the physician's formula eyeliner! It has a full price rebate, which is the only reason I got it. If it wasn't on sale or had a rebate, I wouldn't have bothered. This ranges from $14 - $17!

I also work at a small IDA/Rexall store, and figured since I hadn't picked up a foundation of my lighter winter tone, I started putting makeup along my neck and down a but on my chest. I wear v-neck shirts a lot, so the stark difference from my face to chest is quite obvious.

On sale at shoppers! I went to all the major drugstores and it was the cheapest there. Still fairly expensive - with tax it ended up being $10.49 - but I figured I heard great reviews about it that I'd give it a try!! And I was looking for a pale winter foundation anyway~
I actually tried it out last Saturday (Nov 12), because I had a friends wedding to go to. I found application extremely rushed, as soon as I dabbed it on my face and went back to smooth it all out it was somewhat dried. I guess I'll have to keep trying different techniques.

I actually also picked up a lipstick, Revlon matte in "Nude Attitude", as well as a perfume sampler from shoppers.

Next post - whenever that is - will be all about my lip products! I don't have a lot, so it's easy swatching and maintaining them. The lipgloss I picked up won't be featured, just because I got it after I took the pictures and everything.

May Luxe Box!

WARNING: This is long. I have a lot to ramble about.... !

This is a little late, as I actually received this last week, but I have been busy and better late than never, right?
First off, if you haven't heard of luxe box, it's basically birchbox but available to Canadians. It is eventually expanding to the US and International (I think?), but for now it's for Canadians.
It was invite only for a couple of months, but as of tomorrow it will be open to the public, and as I know the prices will increase as well - since they sent an email saying that we should sign up for the 3 month system.

But I digress, onto the packaging!
Fresh out of the bubble wrapped envelope
A card with the description of the products
From left to right:Hershey's Kiss (random but I ate it right away, lol. I can't resist chocolate!)
Dermalogica - Daily Exfoliant
Elizabeth Grant - Biocollasis Complex Day Serum
China Glaze Nail Polish  - Pink Underground
Consonant Body - Organic Olive Oil Body Soap

I actually haven't tried any of the products EXCEPT for the china glaze polish. This is my first china glaze polish, I have been searching for "For Audrey" for a long time, and the only place I ever see it is in Sally's Beauty Supply, and I only have ONE Sally's in my city, and it's always out. I actually have a base coat from china glaze, but honestly it works like any other base coat. But about pink underground, it is like a barbie pink. I was excited because I've never had such a bright pink polish! However I was disappointed, it streaked and took about 3 coats to become opaque. And even after 3 coats I still had to go over certain nails to even the colour out.

Overall I'm happy with these products. For $10.50 (including GST), not bad! Especially since the soap itself is the cost of the box alone. But I'm not really a soap person, so I can't say when I'll be using that up.
I'm interested in trying the serum and the exfoliant though! But those will be used after I finish up my current exfoliants.

Will I be signing up for others? Well I signed up for June (since it'll be my birthday month, I figured I might as well treat myself to something early!), but I'm hesitant about the rest of the months. I'm not sure if I want to commit to a monthly type of service JUST yet, especially since luxe box is becoming more popular, I'm afraid of seeing a decline in sizes and in a way they might become... "cheaper" with their products.
However if their prices increase, I probably will not continue with the service.

With that being said, probably will have a life update and more posts soon!
Stay tuned next month for my next luxe box! :)

Family Friends♥

This will be a rather lengthy post. Lots and lots of pictures~!

As the title might suggest, a couple of weeks ago I was driving my Aunt to Wal-mart, and then out of nowhere my aunt goes: Oh yeah, so my friend received this gift with purchase, she doesn't want it so here.
Aww yeahh! I mean who doesn't love freebies? Regardless of whether they are samples or not, I love trying out new products!

To my surprise, the first thing I tried to do was figure out what company it was from. I looked at the logo on the zipper and it said: "EL".
ESTEE LAUDER?
Yes! These are my first products EVER from Estee Lauder, so I was really excited to try these out!

And now onto the pictures:
The cute bag that everything came in.

All the contents of the bag.

From left to right, I received a smaller bag, Sumptuous Bold Volume lifting mascara, lipstick in 161 Pink Parfait, double wear stay-in place eye pencil in coffee, Pure colour eyeshadow palette and mirror (it's a pretty big mirror!).

From Left to right: 01 Pink Colour, 13 Pale moon, 23 Berry Ice, 07 Smokey
My camera definitely washed out the colours, they are actually MUCH more darker in real life, especially the purple and brown. Not sure why they turned out so light!
I haven't actually worn any of the colours - since I have so many other eyeshadows to go through - but I I swatched them and they are pretty sheer. They are buildable, but like any other eyeshadow the more you build on, it gets really chalky.

The lipstick! I'm not going to lie, I am definitely not a lip person. My lips get dry, crack easily without any lip balm, and everything seems to wear off on my lips in an hour or two and I forget to reapply.
THIS however, I love. The colour is such a beautiful light pink, it does have a bit of a sheen to it, but I believe that is what makes it really pretty.

Swatched
It does apply a little sheer, but that is fine for me since I don't like a bold lip (ever) anyway.
It also has a slight fragrance, I can't put my finger on what it smells like, but I honestly don't even mind.

As for the mascara and eyeliner pencil, I haven't tried them yet. I will probably try the mascara soon because the one I currently have is drying up (Maybelline Falsies in black drama), and I love layering mascaras! I'm pretty sure this one won't hold my curl either, but I'll give it a shot on it's own and then layered. The pencil though, I want to try to finish up my other pencils before I try this one. Review to come later!

But overall I'm really happy, I love getting free makeup samples. My mom's friend actually gave me some clinique samples as well. I have yet to try them all, but I love trying new makeup and skincare samples. :)

Blogs!

I\
PS It's Vida is having a giveaway! I'm especially loving that nail polish (anything that's mint green definitely catches my eye!)

Don't forget to check out Starry eyed beauty as well! :)

April showers bring May flowers

And while I would love to believe in that saying, I'm afraid where I live it's completely different.

This was around last week?

Lovely isn't it? I had a fun time as well. Going through the snow, driving, puddles, yay!
Just kidding, but in all honesty, it was pretty crappy. It was more of a 'wet' snow, so it was heavier and pretty much melted upon impact.
For some reason, it always seems to be terrible weather when I have to work/go out for the day. Yet when I'm inside at home just vegging out, it's always beautiful weather.
I guess in a way, that is a sign, but you know there are always those days where you just want to relax and rot for the day.
That's been my past couple of weeks. Lucky for me, it actually snowed yesterday and a little bit today. But the weather got better and most of it melted away. :)

Another update tomorrow! Hopefully. :)

Astrology

Not going to lie, I've always been attracted to reading things about my horoscope / zodiac.
After following a certain zodiac related tumblr (zodiacchic), I began reading everything related to my sign - gemini.
Their current posts have been "gemini with moon" or the other way around, and today they posted some information about what it means, and naturally I decided to try it out and read some of it and most of it is pretty accurate (in my opinion).

Here are just a couple of blurbs I thought best matched me:
"It can be difficult to know what Gemini really feels at any given moment. They are often very impressionable and scattered. There is usually a nervous air to Geminis that can make more personal characters a little uneasy."
"She is an opportunist. She can express herself easily and learns quickly. She is welcoming and gentle. She likes travel and intellectual work."
Definitely, except for the expressing myself easily. I do find that a little difficult.
"A shy and somewhat withdrawn demeanour. Private, but once she is comfortable, friendly and curious. Very observant, a natural psychologist."
This is without a doubt, me. Natural psychologist? Perhaps. I do find myself very observant though. Not to be creepy but I find observing peoples behaviours really interesting.
"You have an internal struggle between your needs and your wants. You can lack focus and be indecisive as a result. Your ability to be objective is both an asset and a liability, simply because when you decide on one route, you are pulled in another direction at the same time. Something tugs at you, and you begin to question your stance. "But what if..." and "on the other hand..." are statements you can't help but make, and that might plague you. You are always aware of the opposing point of view and the other side of the coin."
This is actually how I feel about school right now. Currently I am majoring in International Business, but I'm stuck right now with whether I want to stay in business, or transfer to something else like languages. I also find this about my current part time job. I'm not getting paid much, but at the same time I don't want to leave because what if I can't find another job and end up at a new job that pays less than what I'm receiving now? Same goes for relationships right now.

You are naturally trustworthy, and you don't have much patience for those who don't show respect for others, who take foolish risks, and who lead disorganized lives.
I would love to say that about myself (naturally trustworthy that is), but I guess that's a your opinion may vary type of opinion. However I do not have patience who don't show respect for others and take foolish risks. Right now it's mainly towards some of my old friends.

Without plenty of space and time to daydream, Pisces Moons easily get overloaded with life. Give them room to be alone with themselves, and they're generally able to take on the world--even if their style when they do so is not always conventional or understandable.
More often than not, her intuition is correct, although her imagination is also powerful and she can read too much into a situation as a result.

FINALLY an update!!

Hello all, it's been a while since I've updated my blog!
The main reason is I like adding pictures with my blogs - as opposed to just writing a paragraph - but I couldn't find my memory card reader and thought I had lost it.

I could have used my PC, however it's been rather slow lately and using blogger took forever and a day for me.

Starting from my oldest picture which I wanted to post up, I'll slowly update one by one.

Firstly, from the $15 off $35 Sephora sale back then (I forget when, actually), I decided to finally pick up my first NARS blush! I'm quite a big blush person, and I don't have a lot. After looking around the store I figured hell, I'll splurge this one time on a blush and see how it is!

The lovely packaging!

I got this in "Amour" because Orgasm has quite a bit of glitter and I was kinda afraid of that, so I ended up choosing this since it looks like such a beautiful pink, it has a slight sheen to it but that's what I love about it. I use this to set NYC's blushable cream sticks and it lasts all day (which is rare for my oily skin).
Like all the other raves, it's highly pigmented and 'smooth'. I do believe sooner or later I'll pick up orgasm, but for now this blush is amazing and I love it! Especially the packaging. Worth picking up if you're a blush lover and want to try NARS products!

Next up I am comparing the (2) lipsticks that I have! Both are from Revlon.
On the left is Revlon Colourburst lipstcik in Peach,
on the right is Pink in the Afternoon

This picture is what looks most "true to
colour" in my opinion.

I really like both, Pink in the Afternoon gives me the perfect colour for spring/summer, so I can't wait till it's nice out (a "weather" update coming soon) so I can wear this without it looking a little out of season. I still wore it sometimes during the winter, but I set it with a gloss because my lips dry out really easily and hair stuck to my face and that was just... no fun.
Peach actually turns my lips a little orange, which I guess is in this season but it does look a little odd on me. I still like it because it's pigmented, goes on smoothly, and it does dry my lips out, but as long as I set  it with a gloss my lips are fine!
I'm actually not much of a lips person because my lips dry out and crack pretty easily, so I only wear these occasionally, and they're not that bad.
Again, worth a try! And Revlon has such a huge variety of colours that it's amazing.

That's all for now and I'll continue with more tomorrow!
